🦋 ABOUT US

Mission City Fútbol Club is a grassroots soccer club based in Mission, Texas—known as the Citrus Capital of the World and home to the National Butterfly Center, one of the most biodiverse butterfly sanctuaries in North America.

Our identity is proudly inspired by the monarch butterfly, the official state insect of Texas, whose migration from Mexico to the U.S. reflects resilience, transformation, and purpose—values we carry onto the field and into our community.

Our logo features La Lomita Chapel, a historic symbol of Mission’s roots, along with the citrus orchards that stretch across our local roads and neighborhoods. Every detail of our identity reflects the land, history, and people of South Texas.

🎓 BEYOND THE GAME

We are more than a soccer club. We are a support system.

Mission City Fútbol Club is deeply committed to helping young adults explore career paths, prepare for college, and build professional skills. We provide:

  • College Readiness Programs

  • Career Development Resources

  • Professional Growth Opportunities

  • Workshops and Mentorship

Whether it’s applying for FAFSA, writing a résumé, preparing for an interview, or choosing a trade, we guide our players and families every step of the way. We believe that when kids feel supported off the field, they thrive on it.

🌱 WHAT WE STAND FOR

Mission City FC Monarchs was founded by locals who grew up playing in the Rio Grande Valley and wanted to create something for the next generation—something affordable, inclusive, and real. Our purpose is to give families in Mission access to high-quality, community-centered youth soccer that builds more than just athletes.

We are proudly sponsored by Mission City Youth Soccer Organization (MCYSO) and officially sanctioned by US Youth Soccer through the South Texas Youth Soccer Association (STYSA), competing in the El Valle Youth Soccer Association to bring organized, affordable play to the Valley while staying rooted in our local community.

OUR STYLE OF PLAY

We play like the monarch—fast, elegant, and precise, with a South Texas flair that’s full of flavor and energy. We represent the grit of the Valley, the color of our citrus, and the rhythm of migration. Mission City FC Monarchs is here to fill a void in the youth sports landscape, one player, one family, and one goal at a time.
